Travel to Paris for the Foire du Trone

No one needs much of an excuse to travel to Paris, but if you were planning to go with the family it may be an idea to head down before the end of May.

This is to make sure you get the chance to experience Europe’s biggest funfair which takes place every year in the Ile de France region.

Having originally been introduced back in the 12th century, the Foire du Trone at the Pelouse de Reuilly is a must see for adults and children alike.

Property investment in Paris

However, the fun of the fair is not just limited to those who go on the rides, with the event pulling in around five million people each year, it may be of interest to investors too.

Paris is renowned for being popular with the tourists all year round but from March to May the city is flooded by visitors to the Foire du Trone.

This bodes well to those with property to rent out in the area as millions will be looking for accommodation in and around the city centre.

French tourism boost from US

And it is not just the Europeans who are heading to the city of romance but Americans too.

French tourism, and particularly that of Paris, has received a massive boost from the US with figures from the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau showing that in 2005, more than 1.6 million US citizens arrived in Paris and spent at least one night there.

The number represents 18 per cent all of the city’s visitors that year and beat off the 1.5 million British tourists.
